Gerry Brock Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

An American inventor and entrepreneur, Gerald Brock is the founder and CEO of WindTamer Corporation. A former United States Marine, Mr. Brock’s dedication and perseverance are second to none. Prior to the invention of the WindTamer turbine, he specialized in all facets of commercial construction, focusing much of his work on the construction of dental and medical offices.

Mr. Brock prides himself on thinking “outside of the box” and that characteristic has helped make him successful and greatly respected among his partners, colleagues and friends. He is leading the charge to make WindTamer Corporation a world leader in wind turbine technology.

William A. Schmitz President

William A. Schmitz joined WindTamer Corporation as president the day the company went public in November 2009. He is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing, sales and marketing of the company. Read More

Mr. Schmitz brings an extensive management and engineering background to WindTamer. From 2002 until joining WindTamer in 2009, Mr. Schmitz served as chief operating officer of Ultralife Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of power and communications systems worldwide. During his tenure there, Ultralife’s annual revenues increased from $32.5 million to $254 million.

Prior to joining Ultralife, Mr. Schmitz served as director of new product development for Bausch & Lomb’s Global Eyewear business, which included the Ray-Ban brand, from 1995 to 1999.

Mr. Schmitz holds an M.S. in Operations Management from the University of Rochester and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Mark Matthews Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Before joining WindTamer Corporation, Mr. Matthews served as vice president of government and commercial sales for Ultralife Corporation, where he managed a direct sales force with over 50 distributors and agents located in six continents. Read More

Prior to that, Mr. Matthews was vice president and general manager of governmental products, and was responsible for all sales and engineering activity in the government business unit. During his nine-year tenure at Ultralife, Mr. Matthews was a key contributor in driving company revenues from $32 million to over $250 million through product design and sales leadership.

Prior to joining Ultralife, Mr. Matthews served as a lithium sulfur dioxide cell designer from 1997 to 2000 at Saft America and as a thermal battery design engineer for Eagle Picher from 1995 to 1997.

Mr. Matthews holds a B.S. in Engineering Management and Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Cherrie Mahon Vice President of Investor Relations

As vice president of investor relations, Cherrie Mahon brings over 12 years of financial market knowledge and experience to WindTamer Corporation. She is responsible for developing and managing the company’s relationships with the investment community as well as shareholders. Read More

Ms. Mahon is co-author of The Superstock Investor, a book published by McGraw-Hill in 2001. She also was director of research for The Superstocks Investor newsletter, a well-known monthly financial newsletter.

Prior to joining WindTamer Corporation, Mahon also handled investor relations for several small to mid-size companies.

Ms. Mahon holds a B.S. in Sociology and Communications from SUNY Brockport.

Adeeb Saba Vice President of Operations

Adeeb Saba is responsible for gearing up WindTamer’s production in response to the strong demand the company is experiencing for its turbines. Prior to joining WindTamer, Mr. Saba was vice president of manufacturing for Ultralife Corporation.Read More

During his tenure at Ultralife, as well as previous positions at Titmus Corporation and Bausch & Lomb, he developed an expertise in the areas of engineering, procuring components, manufacturing and quality control. Mr. Saba is known for his metric-based approach to production. This approach continuously focuses not only on reliable production and timely delivery of products but also on margins, cost control, company financial performance and quality.

Mr. Saba holds a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
